My top 3 online survey sites by earnings

Sometime last year, I wrote about how one could earn at least $600 a year from doing online surveys.

Given that we are almost at the halfway mark of 2021, perhaps now might be an apt time to review which survey sites are the best to use. After all, we would want to be more efficient in earning money, no matter how small the amount might be.

With that said, these would be my top 3 survey sites I feel would get the most buck for your time!

Disclaimer: This post would contain referral links that can provide certain monetary benefits to me. Rest be assured, I will still provide an unbiased opinion, coupled with evidence, for this post.

1. Toluna

Expected earnings: $20 per month

Similar to my post last year, Toluna continues to be my top recommended survey site. This is due to their survey frequency and relative ease of earning points in exchange for PayPal rewards.

Each survey completed on Toluna will usually net you around 3000 to 4000 points. This is roughly around $1.47 to $1.96 per survey. You need a minimum of 40800 points to cash out $20 in PayPal.

Besides cash, Toluna also allows you to redeem your points for vouchers, with Grab, Amazon or Capitavoucher, just to name a few.

In addition to earning points through surveys, you can also earn extra points through the Toluna Insights programme.

All you need to do is to run the Toluna app or browser extension on your respective mobile or PC device. By doing so, you can earn an extra 8000 points monthly for each category. Do note that you are only entitled to 8000 points once per category per month.

Using both methods of earning points, I have managed to cash out a PayPal reward monthly since the start of 2021.

In fact, you can see that I have earned more than $20 per month from Toluna. Additionally, I am also on course to cash out another $20 for the month of May, bringing total earnings for 2021 to $140 so far.

Hence, if you are looking to earn some extra money through online surveys, Toluna is definitely not a bad place to start! You can sign up via my referral link here.

2. LifePoints

Expected earnings: $10 per month

For my second place, it would definitely go to LifePoints.

In terms of survey frequency it is on par with that of Toluna, thus expect around 2 to 3 surveys each day. Each survey would net you anywhere from 75 to 250 points. The minimum point threshold for a $5 Paypal payout is 600 points.

From the below image, you can see that LifePoints typically nets me on average around $10 each month.

While LifePoints payout is not as impressive as Toluna, I still feel it is a worthwhile survey site to try out. You can try it for yourself by signing up through this link.

3. PrizeRebel

Expected earnings: USD$5 per month

Last but not least, PrizeRebel rounds up my list of top 3 online survey sites.

Based on payout size, PrizeRebel cannot really be compared to Toluna or LifePoints. Typically, each survey on PrizeRebel will net you around 73 points, with 500 points needed to cash out $5 USD via Paypal.

Below, you can see that I have managed to consistently cash out $5 USD per month.

While its payout amount is lower, there are much more surveys to attempt as compared to Toluna and LifePoints. Effectively, PrizeRebel is a middleman that links up its users to survey opportunities from other sites. Thus, you would definitely get a healthy amount of surveys every day.

You can sign up through this link and start earning immediately!

Conclusion

So there you have it, my top 3 recommended survey sites for everyone. If done consistently, you can at least get an extra $30 every month!

Do note that doing surveys online is not a suitable main income source. You would definitely earn more by taking up any other job in the market.

However, what survey sites give you is a little supplement income on top of your monthly income. In addition, online survey sites practically have no barriers of entry, thus you could start earning right away!

Do you know of other good online survey sites or methods to earn extra cash? Do let me know in the comments, I would definitely like to hear more about them!

  1. I believe the frequency of consistently receiving offers depends largely on the subjects and topics you are familiar with.
For all 3 survey sites that you highly recommended, may I know what are the subjects and topics that stand a high chance of getting offers from these survey sites?
    Would appreciate your sharing.

    1. Hmm personally for me, I don’t think subjects and topics affect the frequency of surveys. Rather your own profile and demographic information would be the deciding factor whether you would be suitable for the allocated surveys.

Based on my experience so far, I cannot really say what type of profile would garner you a higher chance of qualifying for surveys since I myself has been screened out of multiple surveys before. I think at the end of the day as long as you are consistent and truthful, the frequency of surveys and the expected earnings per month should be quite similar to what I stated in the post.

      Hopeful this helps:)

  2. Hi there!

I consider myself a survey junkie, but woah! i have never heard of LifePoints and PrizeRebel before. So yup, i signed up with LifePoints and tried my hand at it. Indeed, on my way to redeeming $5. thanks for the easy win!

I believe that you know of all the survey sites out there, so let me introduce you to something else. Have you heard of SoCash? It’s a digital ATM that gives you 28 cents as cashback whenever you withdraw money. iirc, the minimum amount of money i must withdraw each time is $30.
